Terms & Conditions

  • Because of the vintage nature of our items, buyers should take into account the fact that most pieces were previously owned and therefore often show (light) wear consistent with age and use.

If in doubt, buyers are advised to inquire via email, phone or in person about the condition of any item they intend to purchase.

Though the condition of each item is documented as well as possible, KADER is happy to provide a more detailed description and/or additional photographs prior to your purchase if so desired.

Statements given regarding any item from KADER, whether verbally or in writing, are intended as interpretation only and do not constitute a warranty.

Please note, KADER cannot guarantee the future lifespan of previously used goods. In some cases, items are considered works of art or historical design artefacts rather than primary functional utilities, in which case we have consciously restrained ourselves from measures to further accommodate casual or practical use.

  • As KADER design is specialised in vintage goods, we explicitly express an appreciation for patina, traces of wear and age. We prefer to preserve an item’s authentic condition as much as possible.

Only in case of a defect and if so desired do we proceed with professional restoration, including reupholstery, wood repairs, and (re)wiring.

Unless otherwise stated, all items are cleaned and checked and in good working order, but most likely have an appearance true to their age, sometimes including scratches, craquelé, and/or minor discolouration. Therefore, items are sold as seen and described.

Do you wish to have an item restored and/or reupholstered to your taste before completing your order? Please contact us to discuss possibilities.

  • Your purchase can be made quickly and easily by pressing the ‘Order’ button under each item. When you are ready to order, click on your shopping cart and submit your quote request. In approximately 1-2 business days, you will receive a proforma invoice including our best fitted transportation option, together with all necessary payment information.

Questions or concerns after receiving your formal quote? We’re happy to think along. Once you’re set and payment is received, we’ll get packing!

  • Shipping charges depend on where you live and on the number, value, weight, and dimensions of the purchased item(s).

KADER employs tailored shipping options to fit your order and chooses the best road courier or air courier option for your item(s).

  • Please inspect your order within 3 days after delivery and before unpacking, to determine any damages by transport and to make a claim on compensation.

Does the packaging look damaged? If you have any suspicion of damage, please take pictures of the packaging before unpacking. Report the damage by mailing us at info@kaderdesign.com with multiple photos of the packaging attached.

Has the item itself reached you in a damaged state? Please keep the packaging at hand and mail us at info@kaderdesign.com with multiple photos of the damaged item attached.

If practical defects of an item should occur directly after purchase, we feel committed to resolving the problem in mutual consultation. However, please keep in mind that, because of the vintage nature of our items, KADER cannot guarantee the future lifespan of previously used goods.

Last but not least: please also see the article Returns and Examination of Vintage Goods in preparation of your purchase.
