The Dutch artist Jan van der Vaart (1931-2000) is renown worldwide for his geometric vases, many of which are included in various museum collections in the Netherlands. This bronze glazed vase was designed by him in 1979 and produced by Oar Wurk in the Dutch town Makkum.
